Midwest Box Breaks started as a passion project — Ben Smith's way of sharing the thrill of ripping packs with fellow collectors who love the hobby as much as he does. Over five years later, MBB has grown into one of the most trusted names in the sports card breaking community.
Before finding a permanent home on District, Ben was juggling a patchwork of tools: a commerce website for payments, YouTube for live shows, Twitter and Facebook for announcements, Discord for community chat, and manual workflows for listing and invoicing. It worked — but barely.
District brought everything together in one place. Live breaks, card sales, community chat, and a storefront — all under one roof. No more duct tape. No more bouncing between platforms. Just a seamless experience for Ben and every collector in the community.

A card break is a group event where sealed boxes or cases of sports cards are opened live. Participants buy spots (usually by team), and when cards from their team are pulled, those cards ship directly to them. It's a more affordable and exciting way to collect.

All cards are carefully packaged in top loaders and bubble mailers (or boxes for larger orders). Shipping details and tracking info will be provided after the break. Combined shipping is available if you hit on multiple breaks.
